TRICARE TRIAP and TRICARE ECHO Extend Health Benefits

TRICARE offers extended benefits for service members and families suffering from physical or psychological conditions, to support active duty military and veterans who served during wartime.

TRICARE TRIAP

The TRICARE Assistance Program (TRIAP) covers short-term professional counseling and provides additional support for managing behavioral conditions.Behavioral Counselors are available for confidential sessions focusing on personal issues including but not limited to stress, family pressures, deployments, relationships and marital issues, parent and child communication problems, and self-esteem.

TRICARE ECHO

TRICARE Extended Care Health Options (ECHO) is an option for qualified military family members who are diagnosed with physical or psychological problems. TRICARE ECHO can supplement your family's TRICARE benefits, providing financial support for behavioral health services to family members of active duty personnel. Although ECHO does not have an enrollment fee, in order for military family members to qualify they must have a determined condition, and be enrolled in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP).TRICARE extends psychiatric partial hospitalization to military beneficiaries through Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs) at TRICARE qualified hospitals.

TRIAP WEB TRIAL

TRIAP's web-based trial demonstration in the US expands access to TRICARE TRIAP options for you and your military family. TRIAP web-based goals are to deliver information and counseling services to military beneficiaries; to increase the efficiency of finding and treating military in need of behavioral health care; and to use video chat and instant messaging to connect qualified military to behavioral health centers in your local area.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR TRICARE TRIAP?

TRIAP services are available to active duty service members and their families, Reserve members and their family members who are enrolled in TRICARE Reserve Select, military personnel covered under Transition Assistance Management Program (TAMP), and all qualified dependents.
