SPENDING PLAN VS. SAVINGS PLAN

As a child you may have learned the important of saving money. Your bank account was thought of as the one savings plan everyone could leverage. But did you ever learn to develop a spending plan? Equally important it knowing how and where you spend your money.

Spending plans help you learn and strengthen smart spending habits. Part of your Spending Plan can include learning how to pay down debt, living within your means, and saving toward both long- and short-term goals.

The best place to start for service members who have questions or concerns about financial readiness is to visit their service-specific financial specialist.
