E-Filing is not only free, it is available 24/7 from the convenience of your home, or wherever you may be stationed. No more long lines at the post office on April 15.
Before they were famous, many truly influential men and women started by serving their country in the US military or grew up in military families.

E-Filing Means Instant Tax Rewards

Finally, something to look forward to on April 15! How about easier tax filing on April 15, and faster tax refunds? And who deserves it more than our military?

E-Filing is not only free, it is available 24/7 from the convenience of your home, or wherever you may be stationed. No more long lines at the post office on April 15, no more last minute rush to meet the tax deadline. As active military, you just don't have time for all that. E-Filing is the most efficient way to file your taxes error-free, and receive tax refunds due to you within 10 days. Rest assured that E-filing is safe and secure; the IRS is committed to protecting financial and personal information from identity theft by securing their tax processing systems.

When you file tax returns electronically, your tax forms are processed by the IRS right away. Identifying and correcting any errors is almost instantaneous, which saves you the frustration of waiting and the pain of late filing fees. Filing electronically also allows for instant returns, with the option to have your tax refund deposited directly into your bank account. That means you can see your tax refund in your account, in as little as 10 days.

With E-filing you get an electronic receipt from the IRS notifying you that your taxes have been received. Taxes are filed on paper are never really verified as being received at the IRS.

In order to make e-filing accessible, the IRS and Free File Alliance LLC, a group of approximately 20 private sector tax software companies, partnered to offer Free File, the software for tax filing.

Free File program has two formats; the first is Free Filable Forms which are available to all tax payers. The second is Traditional Free File, user-friendly software which is available to the 70 percent of taxpayers that meet a $57,000 income limit. Traditional Free File software is a guide that asks simple questions and puts the answers on the correct tax forms, de-mystifying the tax filing process.

Traditional Free File has many benefits, including identifying eligible tax credits and deductions under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, energy conservation policies, college tuition, and first-time homebuyers.

95 million Americans are estimated to be leveraging the benefits of filing tax returns electronically. Will you be part of those happy tax-filers? Just fill out the necessary forms from the free tax software at your fingertips, click "send" on your keypad and send off your taxes and your tax-season frustration. Filing your taxes electronically may just uplift your whole attitude about tax season.
